Changing the Way Our Children Eat

Recipe for Success Foundation is dedicated to combating the epidemic of childhood obesity and encouraging long-term health by altering the way children understand, appreciate and eat their food, and to educating and mobilizing the community to provide healthier diets for children. We have developed Seed-to-Plate Nutrition Education, a comprehensive, experiential learning program that makes healthy food fun, and we work to make healthy food available to a broader community. Media Internship

Recipe for Success Foundation (RFS) is offering one opportunity for a highly qualified individual to serve as a Media Intern. The selected Media Intern will work with the largest chef-driven, children’s nutrition education effort in the nation to support a communications plan that includes gathering, editing and producing an extensive photographic and video library of our work and using it to maximum advantage to share our story with media, parents, children, teachers and donors. Description:

Recipe for Success seeks an intelligent, organized, hard-working intern to contribute to the design and implementation of a multi-media library of tools calculated to secure robust local, regional and national engagement and coverage across the spectrum.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills; creative ability to devise promotable stories from Foundation activities; still photography and videography skills; and a thorough understanding of using social media to generate cause engagement. Must have personal computer. College coursework: photography, documentary filmmaking, Radio/TV, communications, creative writing, marketing or related courses Computer experience: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, FinalCutPro, organizational software (Mac calendar & addressbook or entourage); Moveable Type (preferred, not required,) social media platforms (YouTube, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Vine, BlipTV, etc.)

Paid Internship Information:

Stipend of $1,500

Hours:

The daily work schedule is flexible and remote work is acceptable, but a minimum of 180 office hours is required to be executed between October 1 andDec 31, 2013. Don’t delay!
