Take Back the Night (TBTN)

October 17th
6-8pm, UH Lynn Eusan Park

An annual program commemorating a national day of action bringing attention to sexual and domestic violence on college campuses. TBTN will include a resource fair, campus march, candlelight vigil, performances and more. We encourage the entire UH community to attend.

Code Red Assist Training Details

Start Smart Salary Negotiation Workshops

The WGRC and WGSS partner to host two workshops per year. Start Smart is designed to teach Women how to negotiate salaries for a new job. The two-hour workshop includes: information on how to identify and articulate your personal value, how to conduct objective job market research to benchmark target salary and benefits, and information and the impact of the gender pay gap on Women. Undergraduate and Graduate Women are welcome to attend this workshop. Space is limited, registration is required.

Fall Real Talk Discussion Series

WGRC Photo Shoot Sessions

Students, faculty and staff- we need you! If you are interested in being in our “It’s Everyone’s Place” marketing campaign. Photos will be used for various WGRC marketing including the WGRC website, social media, print marketing and digital screens If you are able to participate, please register below. All photo shoot sessions will take place in the WGRC, Student Center North 201.

Professional Power Hour

The Professional Power Hour is a new program series for UH staff and Faculty. Hour-long sessions are centered on topics related to gender equity, and personal and professional development, focused on empowering women for success. Get ready to listen, learn, network and be empowered. *Participants are welcome to bring their lunch; light refreshments will be served.

All Professional Power Hour Events are from 12-1pm in Student Center South Downtown Room

Stress Free Finals Pillow Making

Looking for a place to take a break from studying? Join us for a fun filled afternoon of crafting, and fun. Students will be able to make a pillow! We will also have tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit. No RSVP required. All students are welcome. Hosted by the WGRC and LGBTQ-RC
