August 19 & 20 - Cougar First Impressions (CFI)

Time:  7:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join hundreds of staff volunteers to welcome UH students the first and second day of class at 19 locations across campus, 1 Technology Bridge location, 1 ice cream tent and 2 Sugar Land Campus Locations.

August 24 - Weeks of Welcome Day of Service

Shift One Time: 8:30 am - 1:00 pm

Shift Two Time: 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Location: Houston communities*

Join all members of the UH community – incoming students, returning students, faculty, and staff- for a day of service with our campus and community partners working to address social issues facing Houston. Transportation, lunch, a t-shirt, and all materials required for service projects will be provided for all volunteers. * Participants will be assigned to service projects the morning of the event.

August 27 - Cookies and Milk Pop-Up**

Time: 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Location: Blaffer Cafe inside Blaffer Museum

Staff is invited to come enjoy delicious cookies and cool milk.

September 3 - Taco Tuesday Pop-Up**

Time: 8:30 am - 10:30 am

Location: Cullen Performance Hall (CPH)

Staff can welcome the day with breakfast tacos and coffee.

September 7 (Saturday) – Annual Staff Season Kickoff UH Football Tailgate and Giveaway

Time: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Location: TDECU Stadium Shasta’s Square Gate 4

Menu: Custom tacos, churro bar, and refreshments.

Cougar card required.

Meet other staff and show Cougar pride at the Season Kick-Off Tailgate before the Prairie View A&M football game. Raffles for fabulous door prizes and swag. Free t-shirt for the first 250 staff. All staff and guests are invited and permitted to participate in Staff Council events in alignments with HR policy.

September 9 - Ice Cream Bar Pop-Up**

Time: 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Location: Technology Bridge Building 4 Lobby

Staff can hop on a shuttle and visit UH's innovation park for refreshing ice cream.

September 16 – Smoothie Pop-Up**

Time: 8:30am- 10:00am

Location: Rotunda inside the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center

Begin your day with a walk to the CRWC and a refreshing smoothie.

September 16 –Staff Appreciation Lunch and 6th Annual Cupcake Challenge

Time: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Location: Houston Room, Student Center South

Open for fulltime, benefits eligible UH Staff only.

Join fellow staff-members and enjoy a lunch filled with cupcake challenge judging and delicious food.
