PERSONAL STATEMENT
Professor Lin is from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and is a professor in the Department of Medical Sociology and Social Work at Kaohsiung Medical University. He earned his PhD in Social Sciences from National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan.
His research interests include cancer survivors’ return to work, medical dispute resolution, and qualitative research methods. With support from national research funding, his recent research focuses on the return-to-work experiences of Indigenous workers with cancer in Taiwan and Asian American workers. He served as Chair of the Department of Medical Sociology and Social Work from 2018 to 2021 and as a member of the Institutional Review Board at Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital for more than 10 years. He is currently a member of the Social Welfare Association of Taiwan.
