Delta Delta Goes '3 for 3'

UH Kappa Psi Wins 3rd Consecutive Southwest Province Chapter of Year Title, Chapter Leader Earns Inaugural Award and Election to Top Province Post

The UHCOP Delta Delta Chapter of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity landed its third consecutive Southwest Province Chapter of the Year title during the Southwest Province Spring Meeting March 9-11 in Norman, Okla.

The chapter's previous wins came at the province's Spring meetings in February 2017 in San Antonio and in March 2016 in Houston.

Chapter Regent (president) and outgoing Province Secretary Rohan Dwivedi was honored with not only the province's inaugural Regent of the Year Award, but also election to 2018-19 Province Satrap. Dwivedi follows in the footsteps of UHCOP alumna Erin Chartier, Pharm.D. ('15), who led the Southwest Province during the 2017-18 year.

Dwivedi's fellow Delta Delta member and UHCOP Pharm.D. student Jessie Ho was elected Province Historian at the meeting.

"Before even winning the award, I already felt like a winner when I found out that my executive team had decided to nominate me," Dwivedi said."When my name was called for the award, it was another rush of emotions as all I could think about was the laughter, tears, and effort which was put forth by everyone on our leadership team as well as the chapter as a whole."

"An individual can establish a vision and have goals and aspirations, but none of that can be attained without dedicated, hardworking and passionate individuals that share a common mindset: To advance our profession through Kappa Psi. I have loved every aspect of being a Kappa Psi brother since my induction and am excited to take my ideas to the regional level as the Southwest Province Satrap."

The chapter's video presentation highlighting its activities is posted to YouTube here.
