Staff Advisory Council

The Staff Advisory Council serves in an advisory capacity to the Dean. The council meets at least once each semester during the academic year to discuss matters brought forth by the staff.

The council is composed of five full-time staff members: one from Administration & Finance (Dean's Office, Central Business Office and Information Technology); two from Academic Affairs (Departments of Pharmacy Practice & Translational Research, Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes & Policy, and Pharmacological & Pharmaceutical Sciences); one from Student Affairs (Student Services, Graduate Programs, and Experiential Programs); and one from Research & Advancement (Office of Assessment, Office of Research, and research centers/institutes).

Members are elected by ballot of benefits-eligible staff within the College of Pharmacy in the early part of the fall semester of every other year. Members serve a two-year term. The positions of Chair and Secretary of the Council are filled by elections from among the members of the Council, and each serves for a term of one year.

The Staff Advisory Council Chair serves as an ex-officio member of the Faculty Advisory Council, and the Chair of the Faculty Advisory Council serves as an ex-officio member of the Staff Advisory Council.

The Council reports to the Dean at least once each semester.
