UH Hobby School Luncheon Features 'The Making of Donald' Trump Author in Discussion of Presidential Election

David Cay Johnston, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author of New York Times Bestseller "The Making of Donald Trump," and Julie Mason, host of "Press Pool" on Sirius radio and former White House correspondent for Politico, will analyze the presidential race during a luncheon hosted by the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs.  Mimi Swartz, an executive editor of Texas Monthly and contributing opinion writer for the New York Times, will moderate.  Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and state Rep. Sarah Davis are honorary co-chairs.

The annual event, two weeks before early voting begins, benefits the 2017 Hobby Fellows program, which offers UH undergraduate students a chance to work as full-time interns during the legislative session in Austin. The combined practical training and supervised academic study allow the Fellows to earn credit hours in political science while receiving a stipend.
