Volunteer with the Native Plant Nursery
Monday, April 8, 2024
9:00 am - 11:00 am
Memorial Park Conservancy is a private, nonprofit organization that operates and maintains 1,100 of the Park’s 1,500 acres. The Conservancy’s mission is to restore, preserve and enhance Memorial Park for the enjoyment of all Houstonians, today and tomorrow.
Volunteers participate in a wide variety of activities that are assigned based on park workload demands. Some examples of tasks can include weeding, mulching, litter pick up, pruning and more. Volunteers can expect to work hard outside, learn about the history of the park/local ecosystem, and hopefully have fun!
Volunteers will meet at SC South at 8:15 AM and depart at 8:25 AM and arrive at the event site at 8:55 AM , and volunteer until 11:00 AM. Please indicate on the sign up form if you can provide carpool- we always need volunteer drivers! After the event, volunteers will return to campus and be back by 11:30 AM.
