Cougar Cupboard
The University of Houston’s Cougar Cupboard is in partnership with the Houston Food Bank’s Food for Change market network. The cupboard is available to all enrolled UH undergraduate or graduate students who may need access to additional food. Cougar Cupboard is located on the first floor of the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (in UH Wellness), and is stocked full of fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen/refrigerated foods, and dry goods.

MD Anderson Blood Drive
As a major cancer center, MD Anderson transfuses 187,000 units of blood annually – there is a constant need for blood donations. Join MVP and AMWA to donate blood at SC South Skyline or Downtown from 11-3 and get a free t-shirt! Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Deep in the Heart Movie Screening and Panel
Texas Native Cats, a Texas nonprofit corporation, is an organization based in Dallas that consists of volunteers, master naturalists, and others interested in acquainting Texans with our cat species. Established by Monica Morrison, the group makes presentations in the DFW area, with plans to expand to Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and other locations in the near future.

Bread of Life is a Houston organization that started in 1992 with a mission to serve meals to homeless individuals in the downtown area. Today, Bread of Life provides needed services, resources, and support to families in need and other unhoused individuals.

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps people in US communities and around the world build or improve a place they can call home. ReStore is where Habitat for Humanity receives donations of building materials and household items, and the reuse store will provide the diverse selection of items to local families in need.

Hermann Park Conservancy Kite Festival
The Hermann Park Conservancy Volunteering is an event aimed at maintaining one of Houston’s most iconic and popular parks. The garden has a wide variety of flora and flowers and even has a community garden to grow produce for the Houston Community. Memorial Park holds numerous events and has lots of works for volunteers to do.

Together, we drive progress to achieve our vision of a world free of MS. To date, Walk MS participants, volunteers and donors have raised over $1 billion to stop MS in its tracks, restore what’s been lost and end MS forever. Join MVP at this year’s Walk MS at our very own University of Houston campus.
