Project Row Houses Food Distribution

Friday, November 4, 2022

11:30 am - 3:30 pm

Project Row Houses is a non profit organization in the Third Ward, dedicated to community enrichment, neighborhood development, and art programs. PRH programs touch the lives of under-resourced neighbors, young single mothers with the ambition of a better life for themselves and their children, small enterprises with the drive to take their businesses to the next level, and artists interested in using their talents to understand and enrich the lives of others.

PRH partners with Second Servings (a food rescue that collects produce and meals from grocery stores) to hold twice monthly free food distributions in the community.

This event has 2 shifts available, so please sign up for the shift(s) that work best for you!

  • First shift (11:30am-1:30pm) consists of unloading food when the truck arrives, sorting it, and pre-packing bags before passing off to the second shift.
  • Second shift (1pm-3:30pm) takes place when neighbors come to pick up groceries and duties include signing people in, packing bags of refrigerated items as they arrive, and loading the bags into their car followed by some light clean up.

The carpool to the event will meet at 11:10 AM in front of Student Center South, and leave at 11:20 AM for the site. Please indicate on the sign up form if you can provide carpool - we always need volunteer drivers!

To sign up, complete the Google Form and we will contact you with more information.
