Houston Food Bank
Saturday, October 22, 2022
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Houston Food Bank is a non-profit organization that collects and distributes food to hunger relief charities. Food usually comes from various sources in the food industry, like grocery stores and wholesalers, that have thousands of pounds of food to give away – food that could otherwise be thrown away.
As volunteers, most of the tasks in the warehouse consist of checking, sorting, and repackaging food to be distributed into the community.
Volunteers will meet at the front desk in Student Center South at 12:20pm, depart at 12:40pm, arrive at the event site at 1pm, and volunteer until 4pm. Please indicate on the sign up form if you can provide carpool - we always need volunteer drivers! After the event, volunteers will return to campus and be back by 4:30pm.
To register, complete the Google Form and we will contact you with more information.
