The CYBER-CARE Workshop, organized by the USDOT Tier-1 University Transportation Center, presented a series of advanced technical investigations aimed at securing next-generation transportation infrastructure. Under the direction of Dr. Yunpeng (Jack) Zhang, the session highlighted "Hybrid Intelligence" strategies for real-time intrusion detection within Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), addressing the critical challenges of protecting interconnected smart devices and network data. The agenda also featured deep dives into cutting-edge computational methodologies, including Neuro-Symbolic methods and Physics-Informed Neural Networks, which utilized Knowledge Graph integration to analyze thousands of aviation accident records. Furthermore, the workshop explored the frontier of Quantum Information Science for aviation security, discussing the current capabilities of the Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum (NISQ) era and the roadmap toward fault-tolerant quantum computing to combat emerging cyber threats.
