The New CYBER-CARE Center Test Bed is Ready

This test bed is a small-scale indoor environment designed to support the development and evaluation of CAV, ATMS, AI for transportation and next generation transportation technologies, etc. It simulates an urban road network and highway, allowing researchers and students to test navigation, perception, and decision-making algorithms, etc., in a controlled setting. By recreating common traffic scenarios such as intersections, lane markings, traffic signals, and road signs, etc. The platform enables safe experimentation with new technologies before deployment in real-world environments.

The test bed includes a roadway layout featuring lanes, directional arrows, intersections, pedestrian crossings, and parking areas, along with visual landmarks such as buildings, parks, and traffic control signs. These elements provide reference points for sensors and computer vision systems used by smart vehicles operating in the environment. Together, the physical layout and traffic features create a realistic yet manageable framework for testing autonomous vehicle localization, path planning, obstacle avoidance, and traffic rule compliance, etc. in transportation research.
