The Language Commons (LC) supports the study of world languages, literatures, film, and cultures at UH. It is open to students and faculty in the Department of Hispanic Studies and the Department of Modern and Classical Languages. At the LC you can study, use computers, print for your classes, watch foreign films, check out camcorders for class projects, and even charge your phone. Additionally, the LC offers workshops for students on technologies for language study and strategies for becoming a more successful language learner. Drop in during open hours to check out the resources!

Practice your speaking and listening skills by matching up with a conversation partner at UH! This is one of the best ways to improve your conversational abilities in another language.
