Appointment Scheduling

How It Works

All appointments for academic advising are only scheduled through your AccessUH account. Appointments cannot be scheduled through HHP Advisors or HHP Front Desk Staff.

  • One week worth of appointments become available to schedule at a time; no advanced scheduling

  • Appointments are opened by 9:00 AM each Friday for the following week

  • Check for email confirmation BEFORE scheduling another appointment

  • Schedule either a 15min appointment or a 30min appointment (Please review Appointment FAQ for additional details)

Login to AccessUH

For DECLARED HHP majors:

  • Login via CougarNet or PeopleSoft > Select UH Self Service icon > Select Advising

  • Select Appointment with Advisor > ''Academic Plan'' should reflect a HHP major

  • Select Schedule Appointment with My Advisor > Choose an Advisor and click Select Advisor

  • When appointment times load each Friday by 9:00 AM, they will show as available appointments on the Advisor's calendar

  • Check all Advisors' calendars to ensure there are no other available appointments

  • Once appointment is booked, it is available to see through:  myUH Self Service > Advising > View My Appointments

  • If you are listed under Kinesiology, B.S. this is an incorrect major you will need to follow the directions below for INTENDED majors.

For INTENDING HHP majors & DECLARED HHP minors:

  • Login via CougarNet or PeopleSoft > Select UH Self Service icon > Select Advising

  • Select Appointment with Advisor > ''Academic Plan'' will not reflect a HHP major

  • Select second tab for Appointment with Other Advisor

    • ''Academic Career'' = UnderGraduate from drop-down menu (let page reload)

    • Choose Major or Minor from second drop-down menu (let page reload)

    • ''Academic Program'' = CLASS Undergraduate from drop-down menu  (let page reload)

    • ''Academic Major'' = intended HHP-Degree from drop-down menu  (let page reload)

  • Click Schedule Appointment with Other Advisor > Choose an Advisor and click Select Advisor

  • When appointment times load each Friday at 9 am, they will show as available appointments on the Advisor's calendar

  • Check all Advisors' calendars to ensure there are no other available appointments

  • Once appointment is booked, it is available to see through:  myUH Self Service > Advising > View My Appointments
