Bio-Sketch
Brooke is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist whose goal is to help people make sense of nutrition information and make peace with food. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Communication Studies. After several years working in education and non-profit fundraising, she returned to the University of Houston to complete the didactic program in dietetics, the UH Dietetic Internship, and the master’s program in Human Nutrition.
Brooke has several years of experience in outpatient nutrition counseling across a variety of settings. In her counseling and consulting work, she applies a food-neutral approach to support individuals with disordered eating, general nutrition concerns, and non-diet-focused weight management. She believes that lasting success comes from understanding and integrating each person’s unique preferences, cultural influences, and underlying health conditions. Currently, she serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston, where she lectures on nutrition principles and the field of dietetics.
