Boldface: a conference for emerging writers set for May 23-28, 2011

The Boldface Writers Conference targets undergraduate students and other emerging writers who are eager to hone their craft in an intensive week of workshops, crafts talks, and readings.

Darin Ciccotelli, David MacLean, and Aaron Reynolds are the writer-in-residence for Boldface 2011, while graduate students from the UH Creative Writing Program lead workshops and mentor young writers.

"Nationwide, there are very few conferences like Boldface that target emerging writers" says faculty advisor Lynn Voskuil. "Conferees have the chance to work on their craft in a supportive setting and network with other writers who share their interests and passions."

Boldface is sponsored by Glass Mountain, the undergraduate literary journal at the University of Houston, and meets in the Honors College of M.D. Anderson Library. Additional information about both Glass Mountain and Boldface may be found at glassmountainmag.com and boldfaceconference.com.
