Final Student Conference and Graduation Ceremony

At the end of each semester, the Language and Culture Center holds the Final Student Conference and a graduation ceremony.All students are required to attend the Final Student Conference. Following the conferences, students are invited to attend the graduation ceremony.

Final Student Conference

Students will meet their teachers, review their Student Evaluations (grades and teacher comments), and receive their certificates.

Graduation Ceremony

  • Students will receive a certificate.
    • Level 6 students will receive a Certificate of Graduation if they fulfill the requirements of the certificate. 
    • Students in Levels 1 through 5 will receive a Certificate of Successful Completion after the graduation ceremony if they fulfill the requirements of the certificate.
  • Outstanding Student Award recipients will be announced.
  • LCC scholarship recipients will be announced. Scholarship applicants must be present at the graduation ceremony to receive a scholarship.

Outstanding Balance

Students with an outstanding balance of any amount will not receive Student Evaluations, awards, certificates, or verification letters. Students with any outstanding balance will not be able to register for classes in the LCC or at the University of Houston until the balance has been cleared.
