Funding

The CPH offers various funding options in any given academic year.

Public History Fellowship

The Public History Fellowship supports a graduate student who assists CPH faculty with their research and events sponsored by the CPH. The fellowship includes a monthly stipend. The award is renewable.

History Department Funding

Students in the public history program also compete with other graduate students in history for the many other loans, teaching and research assistantships, fellowships, and grants offered by the University of Houston and the Department of History.

Other CPH Opportunities

Public history students have opportunities for financial support through internships, although some internships do not provide compensation.

Finally, over the course of its history, the CPH has provided employment opportunities for graduate students on contract research projects in a variety of areas.
