Keynote Speaker
John Quinones is a 30-year veteran of the ABC news network and Host of What Would You Do? He is an Emmy award winning journalist and co-anchor of the news magazine, Primetime and contributor to the program 20/20. In his career he has reported on breaking stories such as the Chilean mining disaster and investigated the compelling stories of Mexican immigrants, homeless children in Bogota and child sugar cane cutters in the Dominican Republic. His work has been recognized with various honors, including the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award, Robert F. Kennedy Prize, National Emmy Award, Ark Trust Wildlife Award and the World Hunger Media Award. A native Texan, Quinones has reported from San Antonio and Houston radio and television stations, including KTRH and KPRC. His new book, What Would You Do? Words of Wisdom about Doing the Right Thing, urges readers to examine how they respond to injustice, racism and bullying.
