Vietnamese Placement

This placement exam is for University of Houston students and serves to assess students' level of mastery. The exam results are used to determine if students will be placed in VIET 1501, VIET 1502, VIET 2301, or VIET 2302.

Test Duration: 2 hours (writing section) & 1 hour (oral section)

Notes:

• Students registered for the placement exam must be enrolled at the University of Houston to have credit awarded and must not be registered for the course for which credit is being attempted.
• Students may receive a maximum of thirteen hours of course credit based on the exam results.
• Results will be available after ten business days.
• Please select the University of Houston to have your exam scores shared with  UH Testing Services.
• When registering for the exam please choose both the Oral and Writing tests.
