CASA

Your Hub for Math Tutoring & Proctored Testing – Supporting 25,000+ Students Every Semester!

CASA

CASA offers tutoring for mathematics students, and proctored testing for students in all subject areas. The facility was originally designed by the Department of Mathematics for its exclusive use, and opened in the spring of 2004. Since that time, it has expanded to provide testing for students in all classes, and currently, over 25,000 student enrollments use CASA each semester for proctored testing.

ACADEMIC TESTING CENTER, ADMISSION & PLACEMENT

Testing Facilities and Faculty Support

The Academic Testing Center offers faculty the opportunity to have their proctored exams given outside of normal class hours in one of its three testing locations. We strive to make each testing experience as successful as possible, providing a secure and professional environment for both students and the broader community.

Comprehensive Assessment and Evaluation Services

CASA provides a wide range of testing services equipped for both computerized and paper-and-pencil formats. These assessments are critical for academic placement and professional certification, including but not limited to:

  • Placement Exams: Determining appropriate course levels for incoming students.

  • The DSST Program: Formerly the DANTES Program, allowing students to earn college credit for knowledge acquired outside the classroom.

  • TSI Assessment (TSIA2): Ensuring students meet Texas success standards for college-level coursework.
