UH Police Department and Me Celebrates the Start of Spring 2022

The UH Police Department kicked off the Spring 2022 semester with a UHPD and Me event alongside the A&F Student Ambassadors in January. UHPD and Me are formerly known as Coffee with a Cop, an engagement opportunity for the UH community to connect with the UH Police Department. Stop by for treats and a chance to meet UHPD's finest at the Student Center South. Upcoming tabling event dates for UHPD and Me include:

    Dining Services Hosts Welcoming Barbecue Event

    To kick off the fall semester, UH Dining Services hosted a lively “Welcome Back Barbecue” on Sept. 2 at What It Do BBQ, located next to the TDECU Stadium. Students, faculty, and staff came by to enjoy delicious food and music, while learning about campus resources and upcoming events.

    Parking and Transportation Enhances Student Outreach Through Tabling Events

    To better connect with students, Parking and Transportation Services hosted two tabling events in September, offering helpful information and on-the-spot answers to common questions. At each event, the department displayed two large posters—one detailing shuttle services and another explaining how to park correctly so the license plate reader can scan plates properly. In addition to helpful information, the department also handed out a variety of giveaways.

    Construction is well underway for the upcoming Centennial Celebration at UH in 2027 and with new transportation features in place, it’s good to plan ahead before arriving on campus. Some tips to follow include knowing your assigned parking area before you arrive, new gate technology, and arriving early during the first week.
