A Message from Director Yali Zou

Happy Chinese Lunar New Year!

In this year of the tiger, we wish you nothing but success, happiness and good health.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Asian American Studies Center. Established in the spring of 1995, the Center offers educational and cultural resources to the entire Houston community and serves as the academic home of all students of Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islanders, faculty and community members. It is a place where we celebrate our cultural and linguistic diversity and enjoy academic freedom to explore new professional opportunities. The center promotes academic excellence and equity for all through productive partnerships with local, national and international community. We invite all university students, faculty and community members to engage in stimulating intellectual dialogue around a full range of issues impacting the experiences of Asians, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.”
