Is UH Health a new college or school?
No. It is a cross-disciplinary enterprise designed to connect our colleges, schools and programs. Each college will maintain its own leadership, faculty, curriculum, accreditation and identity.
Will my college or program change?
No. UH Health does not change the organizational structure of existing colleges or programs. Each retains its leadership, accreditation, curriculum and identity.
Are any colleges, departments or programs being eliminated or merged?
No. UH Health is not eliminating, consolidating or replacing any academic programs or departments. Instead, it creates new opportunities for collaboration while preserving the unique strengths and missions of each college.
Will reporting structures change?
No. UH Health is intended to strengthen collaboration, not reorganize.
Will students receive a different degree?
No.
What role does research play in UH Health?
Research is an integral part of UH Health. Through connecting our researchers from multiple fields, we expect to see new breakthroughs in behavioral health, the biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, and many other disciplines.
