Haibin Xu General Manager of Shell Research Alliance
Haibin Xu is the General Manager of Shell Research Alliance. In this role, he leads a global team in six countries, and oversees Shell’s technology collaboration with Universities, Research Institutes, National Labs, as well as various energy technology related Governmental bodies (such as the US DOE, UK Research Council, and Horizon Europe) globally. He has worked for Shell in a variety of technical, commercial, corporate strategy, startup investment, and innovation roles since 2006. He was previously the co-founder and founding director of GCxN, a global cleantech incubator as a partnership between Shell and the National Renewable Energy Lab. He holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Stanford University in 2002.
