Fellow Cougars --

Our 2011-12 school year is off to a great start. I am very proud of our students, faculty, staff, alums and supporters for your continued hard work. Thanks to all of you, the future continues to look bright for the University of Houston.

Our football team has kicked off its season with an impressive 3-0 record. They will put that perfect record on the line at 7 p.m. Saturday when they return home to Robertson Stadium. If you do not already have tickets to this game against Georgia State, I encourage you to get them. Nationally televised games such as this provide an important opportunity for the university to show the entire country what the Cougars are all about. Think of the future students, staff, fans, recruits and other influential people who may be watching. So, let’s fill the stands! This is our opportunity to shine.

I have spoken with the Athletics Department, and they do have some tickets remaining. You will find information about that below. I hope to see you all at the game. Good luck to Coach Sumlin and our team. Go Coogs!
