UH Population Health is partner in AIM-AHEAD, a $50 million NIH-funded national initiative led by the University of North Texas Health Science Center. The program aims to enhance the participation and representation of researchers in the development of AI/ML models and to improve the capabilities of this emerging technology, beginning with electronic health records (EHR) and extending to other large datasets that address a myriad of health conditions.

Dr. Bettina Beech leads the AIM-AHEAD South-Central Hub that includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas. The program brings together experts in community engagement, AI/ML, data science training, and data infrastructure to support and conduct real-world research to improve population health.
