Financial Aid - Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Medicinal Chemistry
NOTE: As of Sept. 30, 2021, the Financial Aid policies described below apply to all current and future/incoming students.
All PPS students are supported by graduate assistantships: Research, Teaching, or Instructional. The type of assistantship depends upon the availability of grant funding from advisors, the student's interest in teaching and English language proficiency, and the instructional needs of the Pharm.D. professional program. Keeping an assistantship requires a GPA of 3.0 (4.0=A).
Admitted students receive a base stipend of $30,725 per year, with additional scholarship opportunities available for exceptional applicants and enrolled students. All UH mandatory fees and tuition are fully covered by the Graduate Tuition Fellowship (GTF) for up to five years, so students incur no out-of-pocket costs for tuition or university fees throughout the typical duration of the PhD program. Affordable student health insurance is available through UH for students not already covered by a parent or spouse's plan.
