Set-up and Listen to Voice Mail - Skype for Business (SFB) for Mac

For instructions on setting-up and listening to voicemail on Skype for Business (SFB) for Mac select the following options:

 

Listen to Voice Mail in Outlook

  • Open Outlook.
  • Go to your Outlook Inbox.
  • Locate and open any message with Voice Mail as the subject.             
  • Click the drop down arrow next to the attachment.  
  • Click the Preview button to hear the message.

If you are using Entourage for email, the voice mail message will play using the program assigned to play wav files. In most cases, the program assigned is iTunes.

Reset Your Voice Mail PIN

  1. Go to: email.uh.edu
  2. Log in using your CougarNet username and password.
  3. Press Enter.
  4. Once inside email.uh.edu click the link provided under the Use the following link to open this mailbox with the best performance message. You will be forwarded to the Office365 portal.
  5. Log in using your CougarNet username and password.

Note: Your username should be entered in like this: cougarnetID@cougarnet.uh.edu

  1. Click the Options button.
  2. Click Mail.
  3. Click General.
  4. In the Voice Mail Options, click Reset PIN.
  5. Click Reset PIN again on the main Window.
  6. When asked are you sure you want to reset the PIN? Click Yes.

Using Your Skype for Business Phone
  1. Lift your phone's handset.
  2. Press and hold the 1 key.
  3. Follow the prompts to Personal Options.
  4. Select Change Your PIN.
A temporary Voice Mail PIN is emailed to you.
