May 2019 Research Seminar: "Flooding and Storms in Houston"
The Houston Early Research Experience (HERE) is a two-week workshop in May intended to orient rising sophomore and junior undergraduates to the fundamentals of conducting research.
HERE students receive a $1K scholarship for their involvement, and an invitation to join the Houston Scholars program in the fall semester.
2019 HERE Program Description
For the 2019 program, students will examine various aspects of catastrophic weather events, including infrastructure, policy, emergency preparedness, responses to storms, and the long-term impacts on affected communities.
