Family Weekend! Parents and family members are invited to campus for a weekend of activities and programs, including the UH football games.
The evening event (2021) will be filled with information for your high school-aged sibling (Rising 9th grade through rising 12th grade) on what to do now to get into college, campus life and traditions, the difference between high school and college, and how to navigate the college campus.
Since 1940, The University of Houston Alumni Association has served and supported the University of Houston; it's nearly 200,000 alumni, its friends, and the community it calls home.
Welcome UH Parents & Family Members
As parents and family members, you are officially part of the University of Houston family. We recognize the critical role parents can play in their student’s educational experience. We believe establishing a positive relationship with parents and family members is an important factor in the continued success of your student.
Coming to college is a big step, regardless of a person’s background. Students often face challenges which many overwhelm and confuse them as they continue to evolve and change throughout their collegiate experience. Parents and family members can often help make such obstacles easier to overcome. By building a relationship with you, we strive to create an environment where parents and family members are informed and involved with their student’s college career. We encourage you to utilize this web site as it can provide you with helpful information about UH programs, resources, policies and procedures.
We hope you will take full advantage of the opportunities that await you and that you will continue to play an active role in your student’s life. Remember to register for access to The Cougar Connection, our parent and family communications portal. If you have any questions, comments or feedback please feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
Best of luck to you and your student this year, we look forward to seeing you on campus!
