In 2021, the University of Houston unveiled an ambitious new plan to becoming a Top 50 public university in a decade.

As the largest college on campus, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is uniquely positioned to play an active role in achieving this goal. Over the past year, our college's leadership team has gathered feedback from the CLASS community about our unique priorities and contributions to the University's vision. Using this feedback, we have outlined a strategic plan centered on student success, research and scholarship, and social responsibility.

This strategic plan will have a far-reaching impact, providing a unifying roadmap for CLASS departments, centers and initiatives for years to come. Ultimately, it will need involvement from the entire CLASS community to succeed.
