4.3 // Building a MOOC from the Ground Up

Today we discuss how our office facilitated the first ever MOOC offered by a CLASS faculty member, "The Bilingual Brain," by Dr. Arturo Hernandez. We will discuss lessons learned and what kind of instructor a MOOC may be a good fit for. Dr. Hernandez will join us to give his perspective and talk about the benefits to be gained by undertaking such a task. We will also be joined by Dr. Jeff Morgan, Associate Provost, Education Innovation and Technology, to discuss the place of MOOCs at the University of Houston.
