An open forum with CLASS faculty who are seasoned hybrid and online instructors. The moderator will introduce the panel and frame the conversation around four main themes that will be covered in the course of the conversation. Themes will be asked in the form of questions: 1.) How is preparing for and designing an online course different than residential courses? 2.) What are the challenges to teaching online? What are some of the benefits? 3.) What are some successful strategies for building a community in an online environment? 4.) Is it possible to achieve any sort of satisfaction by teaching online?
