Objectives to achieve goal.

All faculty of the CHPS Lab share authorship on at least one article published in a high quality journal per year.

Faculty of the CHPS lab will collaborate on at least one R01 (or equivalent) level grant every 3 years.

Faculty members will publish at least 10 articles per year.

Faculty members will publish at least three articles on which they are lead or senior author per year.

Faculty members will deliver at least five peer reviewed presentations per year at national or international scientific conferences.

At least one faculty member of the CHPS lab will have at least 1 invited talk per year.

At least one faculty member of the CHPS lab will hold an external leadership position every three years. Leadership positions may include elected officer positions for professional/scientific organization, study section member/chair, editorial board membership, working groups, etc.

The CHPS Lab is able to recruit one PhD student with presidential fellowship funding or equivalent qualifications/3 years. Equivalent qualifications at admission: >75th %ile GRE scores, >3.5 UG GPA, MS degree, one publication, 2+ peer review presentations.

PhD graduates in obesity studies secure employment in academia or other research related occupations.
