Holding Ground in a Changing Climate

Gustavo Gonzalez Contreras earned first place in the The Ecological Design Challenge student category for Aftercast, a modular bench system that reimagines site furniture as ecological infrastructure. Developed in a studio, the project addresses flooding and erosion by stabilizing soil, guiding water flow, and supporting plant life.

UHCOP Pharm.D., M.S. Students Shore Up Honors At TSHP Galveston Event

Pharm.D. and M.S. students earned multiple awards and scholarships at the 2026 Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists Annual Seminar April 24-26 in Galveston. Students were recognized for excellence in clinical skills, disease state management, leadership, research and scholarship, highlighting the college’s strong statewide presence in health-system pharmacy.
