    Starting Strong: UHCOP Volunteers Provide 2,151 Community Wellness Screenings, Education

    More than 60 UHCOP Pharm.D. students engaged in 2,151 service encounters ranging from blood pressure and glucose screenings to wellness education on such topics as nutrition, immunizations, and heart health at the 2026 Houston Mayor's Back 2 School Fest Aug. 1 at the George R.     CEE’s Hoskere Earns CAREER Award to Advance AI Co-Engineering for Resilient Civil Infrastructure

    Vedhus Hoskere, the Kaspar J. Willam Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Houston, has received a five-year, nearly half-million-dollar Faculty Early Career Development Program award from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop new ways for engineers and artificial intelligence to collaborate in the design and assessment of resilient civil infrastructure systems.
