Houston History Launch Event - Feb. 28th

Come out to the Launch Event for the Center for Public History and Welcome Wilson Houston History Collaborative’s  fall issue of Houston History. This event will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 5:30-7:00 p.m., at Becker’s Books, 7405 Westview in Spring Branch. The magazine includes articles on the Frost Town archeological dig, the 1947 Texas City Disaster, Habitat for Humanity, a 2008 crane collapse, historic floods, Air Alliance Houston, Nina Vance and the Alley Theatre, history of local bookstores, architect Lucian T. Hood, and the Houston History Bus. The reception offers an opportunity to meet the authors and interview participants. The Houston History Bus will treat guests to a brief tour that will include the Memorial Creole Apartments designed by architect Lucian T. Hood.
