Software Engineer

The Computational Biomedicine Lab (CBL) at the University of Houston (UH) is hiring software engineers for multiple artificial intelligence powered software development projects. Positions are available at different levels and durations, and renewals may be available upon satisfactory performance.

Required Qualifications 

We are currently seeking strong candidates to join our research group with the following qualifications:

Master's Students

  • Current enrollment at the UH as a master's student in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field
  • Real software development and programming experience
  • Experience with JavaScript, JQuery, React, NodeJS, JDK, CSS, HTML, C#, Visual Studio .Net 2022, Python
  • Experience or familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Cloud Computing and DevOps, CI/CD tools.
  • A track record of working on software projects, either through coursework, internships, or personal projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling challenging application development and software engineering problems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as collaboration is a key aspect of our research group
