	Alexandra Doyle I'm many things-- a clarinet player, a writer, a student at the University of Houston (double majoring in clarinet performance and print journalism, with a minor in creative works), a Mac enthusiast, a computer programmer, a bookworm, a lover of Miles Davis and a hater of coffee, but this blog refers to my life as an intern at Houston Public Media, or, more specifically, Classical 91.7 KUHA - listener- funded radio from the University of Houston, as our station identification says.
	Cassie Gianni Happy Summer 2012! Starting June 18, I'll be participating as a 2012 Rangel Scholar in the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Summer Enrichment Program. Alongside 14 other students from across the country, I will be attending 3 summer courses related to international affairs at Howard University, attending lectures and screenings, as well as exploring DC for site visits to the CIA, U.S. Department of State, and other international affairs entities. If you're interested in foreign policy, politics, culture, language, or related fields, join me for this adventure! I'll be posting about all the latest insights and adventures.
	Zenhessi Guerra This summer I am privileged to travel to Italy with the Honors College at the University of Houston to explore Tuscany and Rome. I am a 2011 Tier One Scholar and I am a Psychology major expected to graduate with the class of 2015. I am so excited to be able to share my experience with you!
	Katie Teeters Hi! My name is Katie Teeters and I am a 2010 Tier One Scholar. I am working on a double major in Political Science and History. My minor is in Phronesis, a fantastic Honors College minor, which studies politics and ethics. I absolutely love the University of Houston and I am so grateful for the many opportunities I have had here, especially those that have been granted to me through the Tier One scholarship.
	Lauren Tolat I'm a student at the University of Houston, a Pre-Pharmacy major, and a member of the Honors College. This blog is dedicated to detailing my 2012 summer research experience with the College of Pharmacy located on campus. I am sharing my weekly logs, updates, and news with all of you in regards to this slow yet beautiful thing called research! Thanks to my Tier One scholarship and the willingness of friendly UH faculty members, I am privileged to have this opportunity. Read on!
	Alexander Winkler I'm a musician in the Houston area: a composer and performer in nearly all styles. I run a jazz combo, write pop/rock songs, and am always at work on a music project in my studies at University of Houston. I'm a classical music composition major but write all kinds of music. I'm currently working on a musical for Morningstar Theatrical, so make sure to attend its opening performance...whenever that will be! I think I'm a well rounded guy who is very tolerant, open-minded, and loves to learn and teach anything new or interesting
	Michelle Xie Welcome to my blog for Summer 2012! On July 6th I'll be heading over to Shanghai Normal University for a short summer program geared towards learning Mandarin. Aside from that I'll try to update this blog with neat things about China and other places I've been. I am Chemical Engineering major in the class of 2015 but I have a passion for learning languages. Look forward to it!
