Blimey! I am beyond excited for what Summer 2013 has in store. On June 3rd, I will be flying to London with several other Honors College students for our study abroad program led by Professor Cremins to Britain and Ireland. | |
Now that the first week of teaching is done, I can safely say that I will definitely pursue a career as an educator after my years as an actuary. Teaching faculty members English the past week has been a very rewarding experience. Over the past three days (I will explain in a bit why I say three), I have seen my students' conversational English skills greatly develop. | |
My name is Cara Riffe, and I am a rising sophomore studying biology here at the University of Houston. Last semester, thanks to my Tier One scholarship and UH's amazing faculty and staff, I joined Dr. Jokubas Ziburkus' neuroscience lab as an undergraduate research assistant. |
