| Emergency Communications We continue to monitor Hurricane Gustav, which is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday. At this time, it poses no immediate threat to the University of Houston.
The five-day forecast cone continues to show possible landfall as early as Tuesday morning somewhere between the western edge of the Florida Panhandle and the middle of the Gulf Coast of Texas (including the Houston area), with the center line projection near the middle of the Louisiana coast. However, the typical error of a five-day forecast is more than 300 miles.
UH leadership will conference about the storm on Sunday and Monday. Please continue to check this site for updates.
We urge everyone to make sure his or her emergency contact information has been updated and a cell phone number provided. (See instructions below.)
