UH 4th Annual Coming Out Monologues

GLOBAL, partnered with the LGBTQ Resource Center and presented the 4th annual production of the Coming Out Monologues last week. The Coming Out Monologues are performed each fall to give LGBTQ students the opportunity to share their stories and experiences amongst friends in the university community. Students’ monologues however delicate, humorous, sad, or somber, all are meant to empower all to embrace their identities.

The stage of this year’s performance transported the audience to feel the warm glow of a campfire. Performers brought an intimate setting to the room as they swapped camp stories amongst friends. Powerful stories were shared by courageous coogs and a dance performance left a lasting impression for all.
