There have been recent reports of the AccessUH web site as being infected with a Chase Bank phishing scam campaign.  This issue was reported only by Avast antivirus software users. The phishing alert displays a popup on the computer screen from Avast noted as threat secured with the message “We’ve safely aborted connection on accessuh.uh.edu because it was infected with HTML:ChaseBank-A [Phish]. More threats may be lurking”.  UIT has confirmed this to be a false positive alert reported by the Avast antivirus software.  This issue has since been resolved by Avast. If users continue to get the popup please update your virus definitions.
