RCDC Mission Statement

The University of Houston Research Computing Data Center (RCDC) is a data center facility dedicated to serving researchers who have intensive computational tasks and need dedicated system administration support to pursue their research.

The RCDC provides researchers a safe and secure environment for data and compute resources. By managing the infrastructure and shared resources in an open and transparent manner, the Center also aims to promote opportunities for researchers cooperating in inter- and multi-disciplinary studies.

Through responsible stewardship of the University's facilities and research computing resources, the RCDC strives to assist researchers in their advancement of scientific knowledge and promotion of the University of Houston as a premier research university.

UIT HPC Mission & Vision Statement

The University Information Technology High Performance Computing group (UIT-HPC) offers system management services and other technical systems support to customers of the University of Houston Research Computing Data Center (RCDC). The group aims to be the best source of technical advice to customers on questions relating to server platforms, software implementation and general infrastructure in the high performance computing space.

In support of the UIT-HPC mission, it is our goal to provide the best possible service; starting with a stable, reliable facility and network and including professional system administration.

To assist the University of Houston research community who are engaged in inter- and multi-disciplinary collaboration, UIT-HPC aims to develop solutions that maximize shared computational resources.

We strive to promote future growth in research and creative activity across all disciplines.
