The courses listed below have been approved as global courses and are organized by College and Course Prefix. If you believe you have taken an upper-division course that has at least 25% global or multicultural content but it is not on the list, you may submit a syllabus to be reviewed.

Internship and Volunteer Opportunities

Here’s a list of offices and organizations located in Houston that have a global-focus and provide internship and/or volunteer opportunities for UH students. Students may earn 2 points towards the intercultural activities- leadership category by submitting proof of the internship or volunteer position with any of the following offices. Please ask your supervisor to send us a letter or email confirming your name, position, and duration.  

We would also approve internships at a multinational corporation with an international business focus or any other office where you interact with international populations. If you feel that an organization or office should be added to the list or if you want to request to earn points for an internship or volunteer experience not on this list, please submit documentation for approval.
