Mamta Roopani Awarded 2007 TAHPERD Health Division Student Scholarship!
The Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (TAHPERD) Health Division Student Scholarship is awarded to college students involved in a health-related project. Applicants must be able to present a health related activity or program at the Texas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance Annual Convention.
The Health Division Scholarship award includes registration, one year TAHPERD student membership, and a $100.00 stipend to help cover travel costs to the 2007 TAHPERD Annual Convention to be held in Galveston. Mamta will be presenting her health project entitled “From rationale to implementation, the facts on HPV vaccination.”
Ms. Roopani is a senior Biology major at the University of Houston with a minor in Health. She is a member of the Honors College and PA Coordinator of the Allied Health Professions Society. Upon Graduation she plans to attend Graduate School for Physician Assistant Studies.
