The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, July 30.

  1. Faculty, staff, student, alumni or community member
  2. Community members can list their organization name rather than a UH department. Students can list their major or the college they attend.
  3. UH students only need to include UH affiliation not job title

Duties include: collecting waste and recycling, removing old flyers and stickers, and pulling weeds. Teams will compete for 1) most waste collected by weight, 2) most recyclables collected by weight and 3) most unusual item collected. All volunteers will receive a reusable bottle or you can bring your own from home. Water and other refreshments will be provided to stay hydrated throughout the morning. Collection materials, scrapers, gloves and sunscreen will also be provided. Email any questions to sustainability@uh.edu.
