Is Microsoft Teams available for Mac users?

Answer: Yes. Microsoft Teams is available for macOS. You can use the Teams desktop app for Mac or access Teams through a supported web browser to chat, meet, call, and collaborate with others.

I am transferring to a new department. What is the procedure for obtaining a new phone number?

Answer:

In most cases, you will keep your existing phone number when transferring to a new department. Department phone numbers remain with the department. If you are signed in to a shared phone, sign out before moving to your new department.

How can I add a participant to a video conference call?

Answer:

To add participants:

  1. Select People.
  2. In the Invite someone or dial a number field, enter the person's name or phone number.
  3. Select the person from the search results to add them to the call or meeting.

How do I transfer a call to voicemail?

Answer: 

To transfer an active Teams call directly to another person's voicemail:

1. During an active call, select Transfer

2. Enter the name of the person to transfer the call to. 
3. Choose Transfer to their work voicemail from the drop-down arrow.
4. Select Transfer.

How do I join a Microsoft Teams meeting on a Mac?

Answer:

1. Open the meeting invitation in Outlook on your Mac.
2. Select Join in the meeting invitation. You can also select Click here to join the meeting in the Microsoft Teams meeting section.
3. If prompted, open the Microsoft Teams app.
4. Review your audio and video settings, then select Join now to enter the meeting.

Why don't I see a Join button next to a meeting?
    

Answer: 

1. In the Outlook calendar, select the Microsoft Teams meeting. 
2. In the meeting details pane, select Join
3. Review your audio and video settings, then select Join now to enter the meeting.

Can I invite someone who isn't set up for Microsoft Teams to a meeting?

Answer:   Yes. Microsoft Teams allows you to invite people outside your organization, including individuals who do not have a Teams license or account. They can join the meeting using a web browser, the Teams app, or by phone if dial-in options are available.

Can I use the Meet Now feature in Microsoft Teams on a Mac?

Answer: Yes.

1. Select Calendar from the Teams navigation pane.

3. Enter a meeting name if desired.

How can I block unwanted calls in Microsoft Teams?

Answer:


Note: You can only block a phone number and not a Teams contact.

1. Open Calls.
2. In History, locate the call from the phone number you want to block.
3. Select More options (...) next to the call entry.
4. Select Block.

Answer:

2. Select More options (...) next to the call entry.
